COVID-19: Queensland Kinesiology Community

Update from 22 November 2021

The AKA Inc. have always cited government guidelines when advising our members during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As we currently understand, as per current Queensland government directives, Queensland kinesiology practitioners working in a health care setting in any capacity are required to be fully vaccinated with an authorised COVID-19 vaccine, or hold a valid exemption, by 15th December 2021.

Currently, there appears to be no explicit requirement for kinesiology students to be vaccinated or have an exemption.

We understand that these mandates can be quite distressing, we encourage you to reach out to your networks and ensure you are practicing self care during these difficult times.

In the spirit of reconciliation the Australian Kinesiology Association Inc. acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
