First Aid and Insurance Documentation Requirements

This page outlines what is required to be submitted by members for First Aid certificates and Professional Indemnity Insurance certificates of currency.

First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003)

Provide First Aid Certificate HLTAID003 (also known as Level 2 or Senior First Aid). The AKA require practitioner members to have current First Aid certificates

Please note the First Aid certificate is updated every 3 years and includes a CPR component. It is not an AKA mandatory requirement for your CPR to be updated yearly however the AKA recommend that your CPR skills are current. The AKA does not  require proof of annual CPR updates. CPR courses do qualify for CPE points.

Professional Indemnity & Public Liability Insurance

Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance is mandatory for all practitioner members except for Registered Kinesiology Practitioner, Level 1, where it is recommended. A copy of your current Certificate of Currency (i.e. Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance certificate) is required for AKA records.

Please note tax invoices cannot be accepted as proof of insurance.
