About Kerry Heritage

More than 28 years ago, when my children were young, I was simply looking for gentle and practical ways to support my family’s health and wellbeing. After exploring a number of approaches, I discovered Specialised Kinesiology and immediately knew I had found something special. I had no idea at the time that it would completely change the direction of my life.

What started as something I learnt to help my own family gradually grew into helping friends, then their families, and eventually became the career I still love today.

Over the years I’ve continued learning and added Counselling, Mental Health, CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release, Clinical & Holistic Hypnotherapy, Reiki and several other complementary therapies to my practice. Every modality has taught me something valuable, but perhaps the biggest lesson I’ve learnt is that every person is different.

One question I often ask people is, “How does that manifest for you?” I’ve learnt not to assume that two people experience the same thing in the same way. For me, it’s much more important to understand your experience than to simply put a label on it.

I often describe what we do together as putting on our detective hats. We gather clues from your body, your experiences and your story to build a better understanding of what may be contributing to the challenges you’re facing. Once things begin to make sense, people often tell me they feel less overwhelmed because they finally understand what may be happening.

Whether someone comes to see me for stress, anxiety, chronic pain, learning difficulties, trauma, life changes or simply because they don’t feel like themselves anymore, my aim is always the same—to provide a safe, supportive space where they feel listened to, understood and respected while we work together to find the pathway that is right for them.

I believe there is no single approach that suits everyone. Every person brings their own story, experiences and strengths. Together we’ll explore what feels right for you and work at a pace that feels comfortable.

It is a privilege to do the work I do, and I continue to learn something from the people I meet every day. My hope is that you leave each session with a better understanding of yourself, practical ways to move forward, and the reassurance that there is always room for movement.
