If you are a sole trader, you are required to be registered for GST purposes if your turnover from your business activity is over $75,000 annually (this does not include salary or any other income earned outside of your ABN). Note that kinesiologists are not currently exempt from charging GST. We recommend you seek the advice of a financial advisor if you are approaching the $75,000 annual turnover threshold.
